HOW TO BE A PERFECT 10
Ladies, when it’s a birthday party about boobs anything goes – from wild child
to party princess with attitude. Gents, don’t let boobs be the only thing turning
heads. A well-tailored suit can go a long way. Why not throw some florals or polka
dots in the mix with some fun ties, pocket squares and patterned socks.
WHAT IS
BOOBYBALL?
Boobyball has become one of the most coveted and high profile fundraising
events for young philanthropists in Toronto. Since the inaugural event in 2002,
the Boobyball has raised close to a million dollars for the breast cancer cause
and helped cultivate a new legion of supporters to take up the fight against
breast cancer. Take a look at some photos from
past Boobyballs.
The mission of the Boobyball is to inspire a new generation of young philanthropists
to get involved and create a future without breast cancer.
THE BELLE OF THE BALL
Boobyball started 10 years ago in support of Sarah O’Regan, who was diagnosed
with breast cancer at just 23 years old. She won her battle, but for many women
the fight against breast cancer is still very much a reality.
RETHINK BREAST CANCER
Rethink is continuously pioneering cutting-edge breast cancer
education, support and research that speaks fearlessly to the needs of
young (or youngish) women.

“Fizzy hair, buck teeth, a unibrow, mega-thick glasses and an affinity for turtle
necks. It’s no surprise I only had one friend when my 10th birthday rolled around.
(She was the token red-head and the girls washroom became our lunch spot
away from the masses!) My parents panicked when they realized I had no one to
invite to my birthday…and since my parents are THE best, they threw
me a mega party at LaserQuest and invited my entire grade! For one day in
elementary school…I was super popular!”
LISA KRUGER
“Even at an early age, I loved a good themed birthday bash. So to celebrate my entrance into double digits, it was a shipwrecked pool party, complete with pint sized pirates, pie fights, diving for sunken treasure and an island cake. Dress code: disheveled sailor, except for me, I was the island hostess – did I mention I’ve also always loved a good party dress?"
JEN ZIMMERMAN
My 10th birthday party was Cabbage Patch Kids themed, only because it was impossible to find Mr. Belvedere plates and party hats. I did get what I most wanted: membership to the Mr. Belvedere fan club that included a membership card, journal and pen, just like his.”
LINDSAY GRANGE
“My 10th birthday party was a pool party…it was awesome, except for the fact that one of my friends didn't know how to swim, so I spent the entire day in the shallow end.”
